Installation Rules
Installation electrician” means a person registered as an installation electrician in terms of regulation 13 who has been approved by the chief inspector for the verification and certification of the construction, testing and inspection of any electrical installation, excluding specialized electrical installations.

Electrical Installation course SANS 1042: This course prepares learners for the national exam paper 1 and 2, on the Electrical Installation Regulations, which is also known as Code of Practice for Low voltage Installations.

It is regulation that learners complete both papers within a period of 12 months, failure to do so will result in learners being required to write both examinations again. However, should a learner receive 75% or more for any of the papers, the learner will be exempt from writing that exam again
